You’ll build, manage, and inspire a world-class team focused on customer growth across Performance, Referral, Promotions & Incentives, Partnerships, and Organic. You’ll work closely with partners across product, brand, engineering, and analytics to uncover opportunities, unlock non-obvious levers, and turn insight into action. From high-velocity experimentation to global scale, you’ll help shape how we grow and who we grow with.

This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Acorns is a remote-first organization, offering the flexibility to work remotely while providing optional access to office space in Irvine, CA.

What you will do at Acorns:

  • Fuel customer growth at scale: Lead the strategy and execution of all initiatives, managing a significant budget to efficiently acquire and activate new users.
  • Unlock growth through insight: Partner with Analytics to surface data-driven insights that shape how, where, and why we grow—informing everything from budget allocation to channel mix to product priorities.
  • Accelerate adoption: Collaborate with Product and Brand to craft go-to-market plans that drive awareness and usage of key features and offerings.
  • Innovate at all levels: Identify overlooked levers, emerging channels, and creative tactics to uncover non-obvious growth opportunities across the user journey.
  • Champion a test-and-learn culture: Establish a high-velocity experimentation cadence across channels and product surfaces—driving incremental wins and breakthrough ideas.
  • Build the team that builds growth: Hire, develop, and lead a high-impact team across performance marketing, growth product, and analytics
  • Operate within a global framework: Balancing new ideas, resource allocation, and ROI to maximize impact across diverse markets.

What you will bring to Acorns:

  • 15+ years of experience in growth marketing, with a proven track record in marketing-led customer growth, including 5+ years in people management
  • Proven track record of leading growth marketing for a consumer tech or subscription brand
  • Expertise in managing multi-channel campaigns to optimize CAC & LTV
  • Deep understanding and application of MMM and other measurement tools to performance-oriented strategies across the entire customer journey
  • Hands-on knowledge with paid media platforms, with a strong understanding of performance marketing platforms and optimization techniques
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic problem-solving skills to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive business growth and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience motivating, supporting, and developing team members to meet performance expectations and build their careers
  • Ability to align company vision and organizational goals with team execution

Compensation Information:

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $235,000 and $276,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, equity grants, and discretionary cash bonus awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
