Impact you will make

The Software Engineer plays a pivotal role in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of both new and existing features within the FinThrive software ecosystem. This role’s responsibilities extend to fostering an extensible and high-performing system architecture, ensuring the longevity and scalability of our products.

As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for designing and developing full-stack green-field solutions as well as supporting existing platforms.

As a member of an energetic development team in a Microsoft shop, employees will have the opportunity and the responsibility to make a real, lasting technical impact on the future of the company’s software products.

Finthrive dev colleagues will work with the latest tools and can think on their own, generate creative solutions, employ best-practices and be excited about collaborating with highly skilled team members in a modern web development environment.

What You Will Do

Develop new features, maintain and enhance existing functionality
Work within an extensible and performant system architecture
Maintain a broad knowledge of emergent trends in software development platforms, tools, methodologies, and their underlying principles
Perform code review, unit test coverage, and continuous improvement; ensure unit tests written for all new code
Build tools to support automation and productivity
Communicate effectively with team members and project leadership to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
Seek opportunities to incorporate new technologies into the product’s technology stack when they can add value
Work directly with support organizations to resolve production issues
Provide application support by analyzing defects, replicating/fixing defects and providing root cause analysis for defects
Troubleshoot and resolve functional and performance related issues

What You Will Bring

2+ years similar position experience, particularly experience in creating software products or software consulting
Excellent knowledge of Visual Studio, C#, ASP.Net MVC, ASP.Net WebAPI, and the .Net Framework
Experience with modern web development (e.g. Webpack, ES6, React w/ Redux or other modern JS frameworks)
Must be comfortable with SQL Server and data access via Dapper, Entity Framework or other ORM technologies

What We Would Like To See

Distributed systems experience (e.g. Azure Service Bus, NServiceBus, Mass Transit, Rabbit MQ, etc.)
Familiarity with design and dependency injection patterns (e.g. Microsoft DI, Autofact, Ninject, MS Unity)
Net Core - TDD experience
Familiarity with HIPAA and PCI security requirements
