**Back-End Developer – HubSpot Integrations
Position Summary**
We are looking for a Back-End Developer – HubSpot Integrations to join our Applications & Integrations team at New Breed. This is a backend-focused engineering role centered on building scalable, event-driven data integrations that extend HubSpot’s platform and support revenue-driving initiatives for our clients. You’ll design and maintain APIs, Lambda functions, and internal tooling that automate data workflows and integrate HubSpot with external systems. This role is ideal for developers with strong technical fundamentals and hands-on experience working with HubSpot APIs, especially Operations Hub.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js, AWS Lambda, and REST/GraphQL APIs\Build and optimize custom integrations using HubSpot’s APIs and Operations Hub tools
- Develop data pipelines and event-driven workflows that automate business processes between HubSpot and other platforms
- Translate business use cases into scalable backend integrations
- Own API communication logic, data transformations, and error handling in production-facing systems
- Maintain and improve CI/CD and deployment reliability
- Participate in client meetings and technical discovery sessions as the backend expert on implementation projects
Milestones for Success
Within 90 Days:
- Complete onboarding and become familiar with New Breed’s tools, systems, and architecture
- Earn required HubSpot certifications aligned with New Breed’s Elite Solutions Partner status
- Deploy a new backend integration to production and assist in resolving live integration issues
- Join client-facing project workstreams and collaborate on active development efforts
Within 6 Months:
- Independently lead backend development for multi-system HubSpot integrations
- Contribute to shared service libraries and architectural frameworks
- Proactively identify and implement automation improvements across internal systems
Within 1 Year:
- Mentor junior developers and support onboarding for new hires
- Partner with leadership to evolve our backend delivery processes and standards
- Own reusable technical frameworks that improve the scalability and consistency of our data integration work
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in backend development with Node.js, including API development and deployment
- Professional experience working with HubSpot APIs, including Operations Hub workflows and data sync
- Experience with serverless infrastructure (e.g., AWS Lambda) and event-driven architectures
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and data integration concepts
- Familiarity with database design and usage (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
- Knowledge of software development best practices including Git, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
Work Environment
This role offers remote, hybrid, or in-office work arrangements based out of our Burlington, VT headquarters at Hula Lakeside. Team members are expected to work standard business hours aligned to Eastern Time, with occasional flexibility for collaboration.
While travel is not a regular requirement, we create intentional opportunities to participate in company gatherings or work-related events a few times per year.
