Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid - Monday-Thursday onsite, Friday remote) or US Remote

Job Type: 3-month contract (with strong potential for extension)

Compensation Range: $35-40/hr (W2)

We are seeking a versatile and highly creative Production Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for the visual execution and final delivery of a wide array of creative assets across various platforms and media. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong technical proficiency, and the ability to maintain brand consistency while adapting to diverse project needs, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

As a Production Designer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, laying out, and producing print, digital, and multimedia assets, ensuring all files are prepared accurately for final output.
  • Working closely with creative and marketing teams to translate concepts into polished, production-ready designs.
  • Ensuring brand guidelines, quality standards, and project specifications are consistently met.
  • Managing file organization, version control, and asset libraries.
  • Preparing final files for various outputs including web, social media, print, and video.
  • Adapting existing designs for different sizes, formats, and platforms as required.
  • Creating digital assets such as banners, logo treatments, and text-heavy one-pagers.
  • Utilizing strong photo selection and editing skills, including isolating images, cutting, and resizing.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Production Designer or similar role, with a strong and polished portfolio showcasing a range of asset types.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in file preparation.
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working within existing systems and guidelines, with a focus on execution and production rather than conceptual design.
  • Candidates must have their own laptop.
