About The Role

We’re looking for a highly skilled and proactive Webmaster to develop, create, and maintain a seamless user experience for website visitors by having the marketing principles in mind in order to help the company to improve the conversion rate and reduce the bounce rate on the website. Also help and act toward improving the website SEO ranking by keeping the highest performance and following all the best technical SEO practices

Key responsibilities

  • Adding new features to the website by extending WordPress Gutenberg page builder using React components. Also, making the required React components inside the Next.js front-end application.
  • Fixing probable bugs in the system with the least side effects, the least manual work for the team, and zero downtime.
  • Keep the website up and running 24/7 but applying the proper monitoring and having a detailed maintenance plan.
  • Doing WordPress and plugin updates, testing, and making sure updates are applied properly without any side effects in any part of the website.
  • Keeping the NPM packages updated and secur,e and updating the codes based on the probable changes in the dependencies without any downtime or problems on the website.
  • Keeping yourself updated with the latest technology updates and applying them to the project once they are stable, to make sure we are delivering the highest quality and performance on our products.
  • Provide technical feedback and knowledge sharing with non-technical team members in marketing to make sure we are always following the best practices.
  • Documenting everything to make everything clear for everyone who wants to join the team in the future and helping them have a much easier onboarding process. Also, make technical tutorials for non-technical marketing members to help them use the features without needing to ask a developer for daily routine tasks.
  • Find and apply solutions to automate processes or help the non-technical team members do the stuff directly and without being dependent on the developers by making proper tools and features for them.
  • Implement responsive design principles to ensure compatibility across various devices and screen sizes.
  • Optimize website performance by reducing load times and improving page speed.
  • Implement lazy loading, image optimization, and code splitting.
  • Ensure the security of the frontend by addressing vulnerabilities and implementing best security practices.
  • Possess basic Node.js knowledge to work with Next.js API to make secure calls to the WordPress database and Google Sheets API.
  • Set up and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for smooth deployments in Vercel.
  • Experiment with new tools and technologies to enhance the development process and user experience.

What you bring

  • Written and spoken English (upper intermediate or up)

  • Technical Skills:

  • At least 3 years of real experience in HTML, CSS, Vanilla JS, and being able to convert any design in Figma into a pixel-perfect interactive - even animated - website or web page.

  • At least 1.5 years of experience in React.js (Functional Components and Hooks). Being able to handle Contexts, States, and complicated JSX structures.

  • Have experience working with Next.js and TailwindCSS. Also having experience and knowledge of Edge middlewares and different methods of rendering and techniques such as SSG, SSR, On-demand regeneration, and … is a plus.

  • Able to work with third-party libraries regardless of the quality of the documentation.

  • Experience of using GIT

  • Work with git in terminal - create branches, commits, tags

  • Experience with - merge, rebase, and resolve conflicts

  • Some basic PHP knowledge and being able to create or customize WordPress themes and plugins, and being able to fix WordPress issues in the proper way, and without downtimes.

  • Strong debugging skills using tools like Chrome DevTools.

  • Having general knowledge about the importance of the role of a developer in Marketing. Knowing about Technical SEO and best practices, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console.
