What will the Senior Full Stack Developer do?

The Senior Full Stack Developer will help us take our application stack to the next level to ensure we provide exceptional tools for our customers to make operational decisions stemming from their weather data. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, design, and implementation of our complex weather data platform and work with other developers to migrate and modernize our legacy application stack.

Responsibilities

  • Design, enhance & maintain our weather data platform using clean, efficient, and maintainable code
  • Contributing to front-end development within our application suite, as needed
  • Contributing to the overall architecture and design of our software systems, ensuring scalability and performance
  • Work closely with various business teams and customers to implement our strategic vision
  • Identifying and resolving complex issues in both front-end and back-end systems
  • Work with front-end developers on integration with backend services and databases
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data-driven development
  • Embrace a DevOps mindset with a firm understanding of CI / CD concepts

Minimum Requirements

  • Strong understanding of programming fundamentals using C# .NET (10+ years of experience)
  • Strong SQL & database knowledge using a variety of database types (SQL-Server, Cosmos DB, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based development (preferably in Azure)
  • Experience with web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET)
  • Experience building modern APIs, ETLs and other data-centric applications
  • Experience with modern JavaScript-based frameworks (React, Vue, etc.)
  • Experience designing, configuring and maintaining CI / CD systems (preferably in Azure DevOps)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with SOLID principles and a passion for writing clean code

Preferred Skills

  • Building and maintaining distributed IoT data collection platforms a strong plus
  • Experience working with IoT communication protocols (WebSockets, MQTT, etc.)
  • Experience with native app development (Kotlin, Swift, etc.)
  • Understand security best practices in application and cloud development (OAuth2, JWT, etc.)
  • General knowledge of meteorological concepts and a passion for weather
