About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior JavaScript Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping our backend services, enhancing code quality, and delivering innovative features aligned with our product roadmap. Your expertise in Node.js (Express) and React will be critical in developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions that support our platform's growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to create seamless end-to-end user experiences. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will also provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring our technology stack remains robust and future-proof. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, remote startup environment with a talented team dedicated to redefining how companies showcase customer love.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in JavaScript development
• Strong expertise in Node.js and Express.js frameworks
• Solid experience with React for frontend development
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha
• Proven track record of technical leadership and mentoring developers
• Excellent understanding of software architecture and best practices
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote startup environment
• Bonus: Located in the Greater Seattle area with the ability to work from our Bellevue office occasionally (remote candidates are also welcome)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to deliver high-quality features
• Enhance and evolve our Express.js backend, focusing on architecture improvements and best practices
• Increase automated test coverage to ensure code reliability and maintainability
• Contribute to the React frontend, ensuring cohesive end-to-end functionality
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code, leading by example
• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Participate actively in sprint planning, architecture discussions, and roadmap execution
• Share knowledge and mentor junior team members to foster technical growth
• Identify and resolve technical challenges efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality
