About The Job
The Head of Growth is responsible for leading the development and execution of a comprehensive growth and retention / penetration strategy for Visana clients by driving revenue through commercial health plans and their ASO clients. Accountabilities include the execution of revenue targets, development and acquisition of new business, retaining and growing clients, as well as marketing to support acquiring new business and engaging members within existing business. Outstanding leadership and development of people, and collaborative and continuous process improvement will also be critical skillsets in this role.
What You Will Do
- Drive revenue through commercial health plans and their ASO clients. Ensure health plan & employer clients are aware of and engaged in offering Visana to their employees / plan members.
- Lead client success to penetrate and grow existing clients. Ensure payer product, sales, and client teams are engaged in promoting Visana offering and that key employers offer the Visana product to their employees / plan members.
- Lead strategy and engage consultant and broker channel to raise awareness of Visana offering to ASO employers who have Visana in their network offering
- Partner with Marketing Leader to direct B2B Marketing and ensure sales and client success has what it needs to be successful to engage plans / employers and deliver on patient acquisition goals
- Establish, mentor and grow a high performing team, including putting in place development and performance metrics aligned with company goals
- Continuously drive innovative business development strategies and market approaches to support sales and client penetration strategies while ensuring deployment of best practices across sales, client success and marketing team
- Leverage professional network and serve as the voice of Visana in identifying and establishing new growth opportunities and potential partnerships for Visana
- Identify, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external constituent groups
- Actively contribute to talent acquisition and development of Visana’s talent bench; coach and mentor others across the company; champion and model enterprise cultural values including respect, integrity, imagination, courage, and excellence
- Serve as executive sponsor for all sales and client needs, while also possessing a “roll up your sleeves” mentality and the ability to work side by side with your team to achieve deadlines
- Serve as speaker / panelist at key industry events to increase awareness of Visana in the market
Qualifications
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- 15+ years of experience with increasing level of responsibility in growing and scaling growth to include multiple years of experience in business development and client success; including relevant management experience at a senior level developing and executing growth and retention plans
- Experience leading relationships with commercial health plans and self-insured employer clients at the executive level required
- Experience leading B2B marketing preferred
- Ability to deliver on internal and external client promises and deadlines
- Demonstrated executive maturity with the ability to lead and manage with clarity
- Ability to travel up to 60% of the time
- Ability to effectively steer competing and parallel priorities in an organization; exceptional influencing skills to achieve organizational alignment and engagement from team members and other stakeholders in achieving outstanding business results
- Demonstrated financial acumen and ability to align finance/investments with business strategies to maximize growth & profitability
A successful candidate will possess the following
- In-depth knowledge of the greater healthcare landscape and a profound understanding of the trends, challenges and opportunities facing the industry
- Bias for action; a strategic thinker who is also pragmatic and operationally oriented; understands how to implement ideas, meet deadlines, and influence teams to get projects completed in a timely manner
- Outstanding people leader with ability to build / maintain strong culture
- Excellent existing relationships at the executive level within health plan and self-insured employer market
- Understanding of provider contracting side of health plans and experience negotiating rates.
- Value Based Contracting (VBC) experience nice to have
- Start up and/or entrepreneurial experience strongly preferred
- Experience collaborating with marketing to drive B2B2C enrollment and revenue, ideally in a utilization-based revenue model
