About The Role

We are seeking a Lead Full Stack Engineer to join our technology team. This is a remote position with occasional travel to Humana offices as needed. You will be responsible for software development across all layers of the stack, including database design, backend services, and frontend development.

This role involves working on complex technical challenges and contributing to functional strategy, exercising independent judgment in a largely self-directed environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering tasks across the full technology stack
• Design and implement scalable solutions using Azure Cloud Services and RESTful APIs
• Participate in front-end and back-end development, user interface and experience design, and server management
• Collaborate cross-functionally and provide strategic input on software architecture
• Drive technical excellence, mentor team members, and manage or lead project efforts
• Work under minimal supervision, using sound judgment to determine best approaches

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 8+ years of progressive IT experience as a senior developer in large-scale projects
• Expertise in full stack development, Azure cloud services, and API design
• 2+ years of experience in project or team leadership

Preferred

• Master’s degree in a related field

Work-at-Home (WAH) Requirements

• Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload)
• Satellite and wireless internet are not allowed
• A quiet, dedicated home workspace that ensures protection of PHI/HIPAA information
