What we're looking for

We're looking for engineering leaders who are ready to roll up their sleeves and help us build a generational product and engineering-led web3 company. You're tenacious at shipping code while calm with dealing with many moving parts. You are a big systems thinker while bringing exquisite attention to detail.

It's not expected that you will be experts across all of the areas below. You Will

  • Lay the foundational groundwork for our technical architecture and backend

implementation

  • Work closely with the founding team to build a strong engineering culture and company
  • Build a highly scalable and resilient system and foster a culture of excellence
  • Create beautiful and fast code that improves our code base in meaningful ways

You Are

  • Someone who loves technology, who likes to work hands-on, and who is open-minded

and self-directed.

  • Capable of working in a highly-collaborative environment with your teammates,

Engineers, Designers, Project Managers, and business.

  • A firm believer in simple and well-tested code.
  • Don't set clear boundaries. When you see a problem, you solve it.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, and testing.

You Have

  • 5+ years of professional experience building and maintaining systems leveraging

complex modeling and data at scale

  • Experience in at least one server-side object-oriented language (e.g. Python, Java, Go, N).

We index more on your fundamental engineering skills than knowledge of a particular

language.

  • Recent hands-on experience coding and reviewing code, and designing and architecting

systems and robust APIs / SDKs

  • Strong, proactive, written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform while ensuring best security practices
  • Experience leveraging data architectures and components to scale application backends
  • Experience in building in web3 is not a must but definitely a bonus point
  • Experience in building marketplaces is not a must but definitely a bonus point
