Our Client is seeking a Creative Director to provide strategic leadership and hands-on direction across a broad range of marketing and creative projects in a regulated industry. This role is ideal for someone with a strong design background, sharp strategic instincts, and a passion for delivering creative that performs. The ideal candidate brings dynamic leadership, deep industry experience, and an ability to collaborate across functions while inspiring teams and clients alike.
You Will:
- Manage the creative team from concept to completion of projects, offering strong leadership and a clear creative vision
- Collaborate closely with account services partners to ensure client needs are met and creative goals align with business strategy
- Lead cross-functional creative efforts spanning design, multimedia, production, and marketing within the overarching strategic vision
- Apply a strategic mindset to projects, delivering creative work that is visually compelling and performance-driven
- Maintain hands-on knowledge of design tools, platforms, and creative applications while mentoring team members
- Participate in strategy meetings to evaluate client goals and help grow client relationships
- Build trusted client relationships and represent the agency as a thought leader in external meetings and creative presentations
- Provide creative direction aligned with each client’s goals and objectives
- Oversee project timelines and assignments across the creative team to ensure high-quality execution and resource alignment
- Lead brainstorming sessions to develop creative campaigns tailored to client needs
- Define project scopes, estimate hours, and develop proposals as needed
- Drive and participate in client presentations and new business pitches, leading the creative team with confidence
- Champion innovation and consistently bring new ideas and creative energy to the team
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Creative Director to deliver world-class creative and influence the long-term vision
- Proactively identify new opportunities, set your own direction, and take initiative to move projects forward without waiting for instruction
- Perform other duties as assigned
You Have:
- 5+ years of experience in a creative leadership role
- A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field
- Proven ability to lead a team of creatives and drive successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment
- A strong foundation in design with expertise in branding, campaign development, and creative execution across media
- Experience translating marketing objectives into compelling copy and visual design solutions
- A collaborative spirit and commitment to team success as well as agency-wide goals
- A deep understanding of the campaign lifecycle, ensuring work stays on schedule and meets client expectations
- A background in direct response advertising and performance marketing with demonstrated results
- Knowledge of financial services or corporate marketing environments
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a calm, organized approach
- Experience supervising creative teams, including direct management of 2–3 reports
- Working knowledge of communications disciplines including advertising, media, PR, print and digital design, web strategy, and project management
