Location: Remote (US Based Work Hours)

Employment Type: Full-Time

About The Role

We’re looking for a highly skilled CAD Designer with a strong background in cabinetry, millwork, or furniture design to support our custom design and manufacturing operations. You will be instrumental in transforming client visions into precise, build-ready technical drawings using KCD Software—a professional CAD tool tailored for cabinet, closet, and woodworking design. It streamlines everything from layout creation to cut lists, 3D renderings, and CNC integration, making it an essential part of our design-to-production workflow.

This role is key to ensuring that every project meets both aesthetic and functional standards—on time and on spec.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed and accurate cabinetry designs using KCD software
  • Develop cut lists and shop-ready technical drawings for manufacturing
  • Ensure all plans adhere to precise measurements in both inches and millimeters
  • Collaborate with project managers, manufacturing, and installation teams to ensure design feasibility
  • Revise and improve designs based on client feedback, technical constraints, or installation requirements
  • Maintain organized records of all design files and version history

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in KCD software
  • 2+ years of experience in cabinetry, millwork, or custom furniture design
  • Deep understanding of design specifications and woodworking production processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong spatial reasoning
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with other CAD programs (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, 2020 Design)
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or custom closet systems
  • Hands-on experience in a workshop or with woodworking tools
