About the founders
In this role, you’ll work directly with the founders. Stephen Turban is a McKinsey & Company alum, a Harvard College graduate, and a PhD student at Harvard Business School (currently on leave). Dhruva Bhat is a graduate of Harvard University, a Rhodes Scholar, and a current PhD student at Oxford University. Dhruva previously has worked at Bridgewater Associates and Dalberg Advisors.
About the position
As a Business Development Associate, you’ll work closely with the business development team and the founders (ex-Harvard, ex-McKinsey) for internal support. You’ll work closely with the team to manage the logistical and operational aspects of external partners and work on creating systems and processes to consolidate partner data.
This position is best suited for people who are looking to work hard, and hustle to hit goals. The day-to-day work will not be glamorous. But we can promise you that you will learn more than you ever have before, and help us bring research opportunities to students from around the world.
The person leading this would need to have excellent English communication and organizational skills, as you would be expected to communicate with partners and independent educational consultants (IEC).

About Lumiere Education
Lumiere Education is a rapidly growing EdTech company focused on making research experiences possible for students around the world. The flagship Lumiere Research Scholar program has students work with a PhD researcher on the development of independent research. Since its founding in mid-2020, over two thousand students have applied to work with Lumiere on subjects ranging from machine learning in cancer detection to economic analysis of the Spanish football league, La Liga.
