Job Overview
The Graphic Designer is responsible for designs and supports the creation of all communications marketing materials, infographics, and curriculum graphics. The Graphic Designer is responsible for always creating a welcoming atmosphere for AVANCE internal employees and AVANCE external program participants.
Job Responsibilities
Program Fidelity:
Ensures that all promotional materials are aligned with AVANCE's brand identity.
Addresses and resolves any problems that may arise with promotional content or distribution of materials.
Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral.
Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule.
Establish creative direction for the company as well as brand guidelines.
Distributes print and online marketing materials.
Perform retouching and manipulation of images.
Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software.
Curriculum Coordination:
Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Designs marketing and promotional materials for the company
Designs graphics for AVANCE.org website
Designs graphics for social media posts.
Training and Professional Development:
Performs other duties as assigned

Work is generally performed in an office environment.
Noise level in the work environment is moderate to occasionally loud (examples: business office with computers and printers, light to moderate traffic, human voices).

May be required to operate a motor vehicle during the course of duties.
Mental and Physical Demands
Maintain emotional control under stress; work with interruptions and deadlines; walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; occasional: lifting/carrying, pulling/pushing 10-30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Environmental Factors
Occasional exposure to: biological hazards (communicable diseases, bacteria, insects, mold, fungi, etc.). Occasional expose to weather related conditions when working in outside environment/neighborhoods and events.
