We are seeking a strategic, visionary, and hungry Vice President of Marketing to lead and expand our B2B and DTC marketing initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in a fast-paced startup environment, where your impact will be directly tied to the company’s growth. We are looking for someone with a start-up mindset—someone capable of rolling up their sleeves and doing the work themselves at first, while also being able to build and scale a team as the company grows.

You’ll be instrumental in crafting and executing a bold marketing vision for our company, which has already received backing from two Sharks on Shark Tank!

About the Role:

As the Vice President of Marketing, you will lead a small but growing marketing team, including hiring key positions like a B2B Marketing Manager and Growth Marketing Manager.

Initially, you will wear multiple hats, taking a hands-on approach to everything from strategy to execution. We need a team player who thrives in an environment where flexibility, innovation, and quick thinking are crucial. You’ll be the one laying the foundation for future team members, so a visionary leader with the ability to roll up their sleeves and get things done is essential. You will be responsible for developing marketing strategies across B2B and DTC channels, optimizing budgets, and refining campaigns to ensure maximum growth and ROI. You’ll need to identify patterns in the business, figure out what’s working, and make bold, data-driven decisions to optimize the business. Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Growth:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow the marketing team, including hiring key positions like B2B Marketing Manager and Growth Marketing Manager as the company scales.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, to ensure alignment between marketing and sales goals.
  • Be a hungry team player who is capable of diving into day-to-day tasks at the start and building out a full team as resources allow.

B2B Marketing Leadership:

  • Own the B2B marketing strategy, focusing on building and executing campaigns that resonate with key partners in the B2B2C space.
  • Oversee direct mail and in-person outreach strategies to drive leads and brand awareness in the B2B2C market.
  • Optimize marketing budgets, assess current strategies, and use data to determine where to allocate resources for maximum ROI.

DTC Marketing & Performance Optimization:

  • Lead the charge on growing the ecommerce side of the business with innovative DTC marketing strategies.
  • Oversee email marketing, PPC, SEO, paid and earned social, SMS marketing, and influencer campaigns to drive engagement and sales.
  • Use tools like Google Analytics and HubSpot (or similar CRM) to track performance, identify patterns, and make informed decisions to scale efforts.

Creative Marketing & Brand Engagement:

  • Oversee the creation of compelling digital and physical sales collateral, ensuring messaging is aligned with the brand’s mission and values.
  • Drive influencer marketing and PR strategies to increase brand reach and community engagement.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external agencies to amplify the brand’s presence in the market.

Strategic Growth & Budgeting:

  • Use data and analytics to track marketing performance, identifying what’s working and what’s not, and optimize the budget for maximum ROI.
  • Develop a long-term visionary marketing strategy that targets growth and scalability, with a 40% growth goal in the next 1-2 years.
  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, reallocating resources where necessary to capitalize on the most profitable channels.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of senior marketing experience with a proven track record of driving B2B and DTC success.
  • A hands-on marketer who has worked in startups or small businesses, and is comfortable doing the work themselves in a fast-paced environment.
  • A visionary leader with the ability to think long-term while executing day-to-day tasks.
  • Strong experience with budgeting and data analysis to optimize marketing spend and make informed decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead marketing efforts across PPC, SEO, email marketing, SMS, paid and earned social, and influencer marketing.
  • Expertise in CRM management (HubSpot preferred) and Google Analytics or similar analytics platforms.
  • Experience working with ecommerce platforms like Shopify and developing strategies for B2B2C marketing.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external partners to execute marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • A passion for hungry, innovative problem-solving and an entrepreneurial mindset.
