At Cinq, we have indie soul and major reach. We are committed to making progress every day and every week. We exist in service of Music, acting as a bridge from Creator to Content to Consumer. All for the mission of inspiring happiness in this world through music.

About the Role

Cinq’s Vice President of Brand Partnerships will play a critical role in unlocking new revenue opportunities and expanding the cultural impact of our artists by connecting them with brands in innovative, authentic, and strategic ways. This is a new function within the company, and the VP will be responsible for building it from the ground up—laying the foundation, defining best practices, and creating compelling go-to-market materials for both brand and artist partners.

As the VP of Brand Partnerships, you will lead the development and execution of strategies that align our artists with brand opportunities across a range of sectors—from fashion and tech to lifestyle and consumer products. You will be responsible for identifying, vetting, initiating, and managing brand collaborations that not only drive monetization, but also amplify visibility and deepen fan engagement.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with Cinq’s A&R, Marketing, and Artist/Label Services teams to ensure that every partnership is aligned with artist strategy and delivers clear ROI. You’ll also steward the evolution of the Cinq brand itself, guiding how we show up in the marketplace, in both digital and physical realms.

This role is ideal for someone who is entrepreneurial, strategic, and passionate about music, culture, and brand innovation. You will thrive here if you can move seamlessly between developing big-picture strategies and rolling up your sleeves to execute.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive brand partnerships strategy that generates new revenue streams for artists and Cinq alike.
  • Build the internal infrastructure for the brand partnerships function, including pitch materials, case studies, deal structures, and best practices.
  • Source and cultivate relationships with key brands, agencies, and cultural partners, serving as the primary point of contact for all brand partnership activity.
  • Work closely with artists and managers to identify authentic partnership opportunities that align with their identity, values, and career goals.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of brand campaigns and activations—from ideation to delivery.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of active and prospective brand deals, reporting regularly on performance and outcomes.
  • Lead the development and evolution of the Cinq brand, including how it shows up in the marketplace and how it partners with artists to amplify both brand and artist equity.
  • Stay ahead of trends in music, branding, pop culture, and technology to ensure Cinq remains at the forefront of brand innovation.

Reporting to the SVP of Marketing and Artist Services, Cinq’s VP of Brand is an integral part of what makes our company successful - growing our brand through innovative partnerships and new revenue opportunities for our artists.

In this role you will develop strategies for our artists to identify new monetization channels such as brand partnerships, licensing, merchandise, fan engagement etc, and work with internal teams to execute those opportunities in a mutually beneficial way. You will set and execute the strategy for the Cinq brand as it evolves and scales, defining where and how we show up in market and how we collaborate with our artists in the digital space and the real world to increase market share.

You’ll work closely with Cinq’s A&R, Marketing and Artist/Label Services teams and external partners to ensure that every brand execution delivers ROI and artist growth, and ensures that we (both our artists, and ourselves) stand out in a crowded marketplace.

Must Haves

  • Extensive experience in branding and marketing at a senior level at a growth business, ideally with a combination of agency- and client-side roles
  • 5+ years experience cultivating and managing impactful partnerships (e.g. sponsorship, licensing, merchandise etc) from strategy through to execution and measurement
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing scalable processes for ROI-driven brand curation and growth
  • 5+ years experience managing a team, and a passion for empowering and developing others through your experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and persuasion skills, and a track record of building and nurturing strong relationships with clients, external partners and internal teams
  • Familiarity with and interest in Regional Mexican, reggaeton and Afrobeat genres

Who We’re Looking For

  • Branding veteran: you’ve been there and done it before, you know what works and why, and can clearly communicate best practices to those less familiar
  • Data-driven; you understand that marketing is part art, part science, and you use both your experience and hard data to inform your decision-making
  • Process-driven; you’re uber-organized, with strong time management and the ability to manage competing priorities with ease
  • Big picture doer; you know how to develop a strategy and also how to execute it successfully, balancing vision with tangible results
  • Continuously curious; you’re fanatical about staying on top of marketing and music trends, audience and fan behavior, consumer channels etc, and delight in sharing your knowledge with others
  • Bias for action; you’re proactive and solutions-focused, able to think creatively and work around obstacles to find both short- and long-term solutions

Our values:

  • Commitment: We strive for excellence, empower others, reject complacency, deliver exceptional value, and aim to make the world happier daily.
  • Flourishing: We pursue continuous growth to align our work with what we love, excel at, and what the organization needs.
  • Integrity & Fairness: We promote a meritocracy where equity, inclusion, and honesty are paramount, and everyone’s voice matters.
  • No Fear: We make bold, rational decisions, embrace failure as a learning process, and manage risks effectively.
  • Leading from Behind: We foster self-worth beyond job success, prioritize the organization and others, and believe leaders eat last.
