About The Role

We are seeking a curious and hands-on UI / UX Designer to join our dynamic AI Prototyping team, UltraLab. This hybrid role combines deep user experience thinking with rapid prototyping skills to quickly translate ideas into tangible, interactive prototypes across diverse industries. You will play a pivotal role in shaping how AI-powered products are conceptualized and demonstrated, both for client projects and internal initiatives. UltraLab focuses on transforming business challenges into innovative AI solutions by delivering proof-of-concept prototypes at speed, enabling fast validation and iteration.

As a UI / UX Designer, you will act as a bridge between vision and execution, ensuring that concepts are not only visually appealing but also functional, realistic, and ready for development. While coding is not a primary responsibility, familiarity with modern AI tools and no-code platforms to expedite UX delivery is highly valued. Additionally, you will contribute to evolving UltraLab’s brand identity, maintaining a consistent and future-forward visual and interaction language across all prototypes and presentations.

Qualifications

  • Strong portfolio showcasing interactive prototypes and realistic UX flows, with experience using tools like v0.dev, Bolt, or similar
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new domains, understand user workflows, and envision AI-enhanced solutions
  • Solid foundation in user research, journey mapping, and product thinking
  • Expertise with Figma for formal design work and proficiency with no-code or AI-assisted design tools for rapid prototyping
  • Excellent visual design skills with a strong sense of brand identity and expressive interaction design
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, responsive design, and usability best practices
  • A builder’s mindset with enthusiasm for rapid testing, iteration, and feedback incorporation
  • Experience or familiarity with AI/ML concepts or designing AI-powered features (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of front-end coding languages (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-fidelity, interactive prototypes using tools like v0.dev, Bolt, or similar platforms, enabling quick idea validation without front-end coding
  • Create polished, structured design flows in Figma for complex or high-impact prototypes
  • Translate wireframes and design concepts into functional UI aligned with user experience goals and UltraLab’s brand standards
  • Analyze existing user journeys and propose AI-enhanced alternatives; collaborate with product managers to finalize practical, user-centered flows
  • Partner with product managers to define requirements and user flows, ensuring technical feasibility and smooth handoffs with developers
  • Support usability testing by iterating prototypes based on user feedback and real-world insights
  • Develop and maintain flexible design patterns and contribute to a scalable, lightweight design system for consistency
  • Help define, evolve, and apply UltraLab’s brand identity to ensure cohesive and intentional visual and interaction experiences
  • Explore emerging design tools and AI-assisted workflows to push the boundaries of modern UX design
  • Ensure prototypes are intuitive, accessible, and responsive across various devices and platforms
  • Participate in cross-functional brainstorming, design critiques, and strategic planning sessions to shape future AI user experiences
