Overview

Software Engineer will participate in a high level development capacity on a project building a robust, next gen web apps for an asset management firm in modern technologies. Previous experience in financial services preferred. Experience working with client facing teams, providing automated workflow solutions and data management tools. Experience and/or understanding of the various domains within an asset management firm (investment operations, performance and attribution, trading etc.) is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable software solutions across frontend and backend technologies.
  • Assist in driving the implementation of best practices for software development, including code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Collaborate with product managers to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive technical innovation and improvements within the team.
  • Contribute to architectural design discussions, providing technical expertise and recommendations for optimal system performance, scalability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to build robust testing strategies aligned with Business-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) .
  • Work on in-house products and applications, contributing to the stability and robustness of the overall software platform.

Requirements

  • Entry level development experience
  • Entry level of coding experience in Python.
  • Experience working in an AWS Tech Stack (Terraform, CloudFormation, Lambda, ECS, Aurora, etc.)
  • Experience building REST API’s
  • Experience with CI/CD and Test Driven Development
  • Experience building API's and services for data access and integration purposes.
  • Prior experience working with Amazon Web Services is required.
  • Prior UI experience with React or Node is a plus, but not required.
  • Prior experience with the Snowflake Data Platform is a plus, but not required.
