About The Role

We are seeking a talented Frontend Software Engineer to join our Product Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing engaging, responsive, and user-friendly web interfaces that meet the diverse needs of our nonprofit clients. Working closely under the guidance of the Associate Director of Product Engineering, you will own the entire lifecycle of frontend features—from initial planning and design to deployment and ongoing maintenance. Your work will directly impact our clients' ability to create impactful campaigns and analyze web performance effectively. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a purpose-driven organization, utilizing modern web technologies to build scalable and accessible applications. The ideal candidate will be passionate about frontend development, eager to learn, and dedicated to delivering polished user experiences that align with best practices in UI/UX design.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of professional frontend software engineering experience
• Experience owning and shipping user-facing frontend features
• Proficiency in React.js (preferred) or other modern frameworks such as Vue or Angular
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and ES6+ features
• Proficiency with HTML5 and CSS3
• Understanding of state management solutions like Redux, Context API, or MobX
• Experience with frontend build tools such as Webpack, Babel, or Vite
• Ability to build responsive and accessible web applications
• Familiarity with RESTful API integration
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for web applications
• Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and project requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy responsive, high-performance frontend components for Feathr's SaaS platform
• Collaborate with designers to implement visually appealing and user-centered interfaces
• Participate in planning, designing, and iterating on product features throughout the development lifecycle
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness across various devices
• Optimize web applications for speed, scalability, and maintainability
• Work closely with backend developers to integrate frontend components with backend services via RESTful APIs
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to maintaining code quality standards
• Identify and troubleshoot frontend issues, ensuring timely resolution
• Implement accessibility standards and contribute to the overall usability of the platform
• Stay current with emerging web technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our frontend architecture
• Document technical solutions and collaborate across departments to align on project goals
