THE POSITION

Are you passionate about solving customer (B2C), business (B2B), and business operations (CRM) problems? Do you get excited about the idea of launching eCommerce platforms that make managing the home for our customers, partners, and agents simple? Porch is looking for a customer-centric Senior UX Designer to guide the long-term vision and strategy of the Porch Moving Group. In this role, you will lead the design of innovative, user-centered digital products, shaping the user shopping experience from concept to implementation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers, to create seamless, intuitive, and visually engaging interfaces.

What You Do

  • Lead end-to-end UX design processes, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and usability testing.
  • Work closely with the Product, Engineering, and Analytic teams to deliver exceptional digital experiences that meet both business goals and user needs.
  • Conduct user research, such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather valuable insights and inform design decisions.
  • Create and maintain design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability across all products.
  • Produce high-quality prototypes and user flows, from low-fidelity sketches to high-fidelity interactive designs.
  • Advocate for the user by incorporating feedback, iterating designs, and ensuring that usability is prioritized in every project.
  • Collaborate with other UX designers and team members to establish design standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Mentor and support junior designers, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering growth in their careers.
  • Stay current with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure cutting-edge design solutions.

What You Bring

  • 5-7 years of experience in UX design, with a portfolio showcasing a wide range of UX design projects and processes geared toward US ecommerce, marketplaces, and CRM experineces.
  • Expertise in user-centered design principles, interaction design, information architecture, and usability testing.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and the rationale behind them.
  • Strong proficiency in design, collaboration, and prototyping tools.
  • Experience with design research methodologies and A/B testing.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in mentoring or leading design teams is highly desirable.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A deep understanding of design systems, accessibility best practices, and responsive design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Workspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload.
  • Equipment: a laptop (or a desktop computer) and an internet connection that meet our minimum requirements.
