About Acast
Since 2014, Acast has been building the world’s most valuable podcast marketplace, creating the technology that connects podcast creators, advertisers, and listeners. Its marketplace spans more than 140,000 podcasts, 3,300 advertisers, and one billion quarterly listens. Crucially, those listens are monetized wherever they happen—across any podcast app or listening platform.
About The Role
We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer with full-stack capabilities, someone who’s passionate about building intuitive, high-quality user experiences on the frontend, and who can also architect and support the backend infrastructure required to deliver those experiences reliably at global scale.
The Creator Hub is Acast’s central content management system, built for creators to manage every aspect of their shows. It enables audio uploads, which are then automatically encoded and transcribed. The hub also captures all essential show and episode data, such as ad marker placements, thumbnails, and audio length, making it the single source of truth for our content. Beyond content, it stores creator profile data for use across the Acast platform. As the backbone of our internal operations, the Creator Hub powers data synchronization and notifications across systems. It's a critical part of how Acast functions today and plays a vital role in our future roadmap.
You will work in an autonomous, purpose driven team and take an important role in shipping new features while continuously increasing efficiency, stability and scalability of the systems. You are expected to contribute to software development within your team but we also expect everyone to understand and contribute to other areas of the product development. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary environment with agile principles.
We run our infrastructure and systems on AWS. The systems are written in Node.js and Typescript and you are expected to work with and be interested in that. We support our own systems and infrastructure in production.
