Core Responsibilities, as part of the Scala marketing team of writers, web developers, designers, event and automation specialists:

Walkbase’s Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for enhancing and increasing marketing activities, promoting Walkbase sensor solutions for in-store personalization, with a focus on in-store retail media networks. Major brands worldwide are finding value in adding retail media networks to their in-store digital signage. Walkbase is leading the global conversation on measuring the success of the investment in retail ad networks into the physical store.

The Senior Marketing Manager will focus on amplifying the brand, strategy and tactical execution of activities that tell the personalization and measurement story, promote the value of in-store retail media networks, generate inbound leads, and create sales opportunities. You will frequently work and communicate with senior leadership in the US and EMEA to understand prospective targets and opportunities, competitive landscape, value proposition and create a marketing and success strategy that aligns with goals.

Core Responsibilities, as part of the STRATACACHE marketing team of writers, developers, designers, event, automation, and search specialists:

  • Ownership of Marketing strategy across channels: Identify and prioritize marketing needs and develop a holistic marketing strategy for the Walkbase brand.
  • Project management: Lead tactical execution of marketing activities that will drive leads, promote brand value, promote in-store retail media networks, and develop market understanding of sensors for stores.
  • Revamp existing PRN brand: Collaborate with PRN subject matter experts and marketing specialists to establish and prioritize revitalization of the PRN brand.
  • Sales enablement: Work directly with PRN leaders to establish needs for B2B sales conversations about our technology solutions. Execute development of marketing assets including presentations, sell and spec sheets, marketing messaging and direct/mass communications.
  • Content creation: Strategize high converting and high value assets, working with writing, design, and web specialists to prioritize and promote new content creation.
  • Event/meeting collaboration: Lead the event strategy for the brand, working with leadership on events, communication with external SMEs, playing an active role in event success. Lead the execution of promotional and follow up activities, including social media, pre-show and post-show communication and nurture strategy.
  • Sales pipeline and in-bound leads: Strategy and execution of activities and campaigns that drive in-bound leads, as well as working with the analytics team to gather and report on current metrics.
  • Market research and competitive landscape: Understand the ever-changing global competition for technology that impacts the shopper, audience, and guest experience.
  • Brand spokesperson: Keep the sales team informed about product features, value proposition. Be familiar with media pitching/placement and work with media team to develop relationships with key journalists and publications.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in the retail media network industry. A big part of Walkbase’s business centers around the significant revenue that can be realized from in-store retail media networks. The ideal candidate has worked for a brand, agency, or solution provider that plays a part in retail media.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications or related field, or proven experience in marketing, product marketing or communications role.
  • 10+ years of experience in a marketing or communications role required. B2B and/or technology experience is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of product marketing fundamentals and comfort working with experts and sales leaders to promote Walkbase solutions.
  • Proficiency in website management fundamentals, as well as ideas for continued website improvement.
  • Creative thinking and an eye for design.
  • Understanding of our proficiency in marketing automation and automation platforms.
  • A solid understanding of PPC strategy, SEO, SEM.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with web, product, automation, and design teams.
  • Strong project coordination skills and experience working with an agency style marketing team.
