Reporting to the Vice President of Enterprise Sales & Marketing, this Senior Marketing
Manager will be responsible for the go-to-market plan, strategy, and execution to exceed revenue goals for the Enterprise portion of McGraw Hill’s Higher Education business, specifically focusing on, but not limited to, Affordable Access and Dual Enrollment. This position will require you to utilize a combination of your product marketing, customer marketing, and demand generation marketing experience and skills. You will have the opportunity to play a critical role in driving growth by aligning messaging, executing thought leadership campaigns, deploying strategic lead generation tactics, building relationships with customers, developing high impact events, and helping to create effective marketing materials, along with additional demand generation activities to drive leads and support other team goals.
This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States and requires up to 25% travel for the year.
What you will be doing:
- Provide strategic direction and work and thrive within an integrated cross functional team in the higher education market.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, strategic marketing plan that aligns with organizational goals and involves all go-to-market strategies and tactics to promote your Enterprise solutions across a variety of channels (email, social, web, relationship selling, etc.).
- Partner with market development and sales colleagues to amplify awareness and build a pipeline.
- Set campaign and product launch KPIs, including leveraging SFDC to create reports, monitor pipeline, and forecast revenue.
- Work with stakeholders to write and develop brand-consistent positioning and messaging in alignment with the sales and customer journey and ensure these are effectively communicated to target audiences.
- Create and leverage content to support campaigns, including sales tools, training materials, RFP resources, and thought leadership content.
- Conduct customer- and internal-facing presentations, strategy sessions, and trainings on a regular basis in both live and virtual environments.
- Deliver executive-level presentations, lead strategic workshops, and facilitate training sessions for both internal and external stakeholders to help the organization promote Enterprise solutions, answer customer/rep inquiries, and troubleshoot challenges.
- Lead the strategy on event opportunities such as conferences to showcase solutions and services to relevant audiences.
- Analyze market trends and potential market opportunities and participate in market research, market planning, and product development.
- Utilize and analyze data to drive decisions across the Enterprise space and share best practices with the team.
We’re looking for someone with:
- A bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of client-facing marketing and/or sales experience, preferably in the fields of education and/or technology. Product marketing experience in EdTech SaaS is a plus.
- Strong understanding of emerging marketing trends, technologies (especially Salesforce and Marketo), and integration strategies.
- Strong ability to identify, prioritize, and execute marketing objectives to grow market share, promote customer retention, and drive revenue.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines and, on occasion, turn projects around in a short timeframe.
- Success in managing and delivering virtual and/or live events and conducting compelling presentations—both internally and externally.
- Ability to make data-informed decisions and track ROI.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- A passion for being scrappy, proactive, taking on new challenges and processes, and self-management.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience using Salesforce, Asana, Qualtrics or survey builders, and Zoom.

The pay for this position is $91,200-$116,000 annually, however, base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sales commission plan will be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
