Job Summary
As senior designer, you’ll lead projects that demand craft, strategy, and creativity at the highest level. You’ll be involved in every step of the design process: developing compelling ideas and concepts, refining details, ensuring that the work meets the highest standards. You’ll help shape how Ologie shows up in the world — through campaigns, thought leadership, conceptual problem-solving, and branded content that tells our story and supports new business. You’ll also collaborate closely with writers, strategists, and other designers to build creative that achieves results for our clients.
Wondering if you might be a good fit? The following characteristics are a great start: You always raise the bar, never satisfied with “good enough.” You pay attention to typography, layout, and other details, and you take pride in delivering work that’s clear, consistent, and compelling. You stay current with trends in design, culture, tech, and more, and you bring that awareness to what you do. You’re curious and collaborative, and you’re committed to producing great design that makes an impact.
Note: We are currently seeking two senior designers for slightly different roles.
- Senior Designer, Client
- Senior Designer, Client and Internal Brand
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Develop design ideas in a variety of mediums — social, digital, print, motion, and experiential — for both client and internal marketing projects.
- Lead the design of Ologie’s marketing materials to elevate our brand presence, new business efforts, and thought leadership. (Applies only to Senior Designer, Client and Internal Brand.)
- Present your design work, explaining your creative approach and rationale, both internally and to clients.
- Incorporate creative feedback with care, ensuring that revisions align with the project objectives while maintaining a high standard of craft.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and strategic discussions, offering insights into design direction and visual storytelling.
- Stay up to date with design trends and best practices, integrating new techniques and technologies into your work.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned, consistent with the objectives and scope of the role.
To be successful in this role, our preference is that you:
- Have five or more years of graphic design experience, ideally in an agency or a consulting environment.
- Be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, with a strong focus on InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Have motion design skills, with specific experience in Adobe After Effects (plus 3D software like Cinema 4D or Blender).
- Bring expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and FigJam for digital design and collaboration.
- Demonstrate proficiency in WordPress (design and development).
- Have excellent communication and presentation skills: articulating ideas clearly, giving and receiving feedback constructively, acting as a storyteller, and thriving in client-facing discussions.
- Be comfortable owning and leading projects independently.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with varying deadlines and shifting priorities.
You’ll stand out to us if you:
- Have experience working in marketing for higher education, health care, nonprofits, or other cause-driven fields.
- Have a bachelor’s degree in art, graphic design, or another related field.
- Are proficient in Google Workspace (including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, and Meet).
Don’t meet all of our preferences? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Ologie, we are dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive workplace, so if you’re excited about this role we encourage you to apply. You may be just the right candidate for this role or another.
