About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Python Developer to join a high-impact team focusing on the poster experience—the primary engine for user content generation within the ecosystem. This team is tasked with making the content creation journey seamless, intelligent, and fast. In this role, you will be involved in an essential migration project that transitions legacy Python microservices to a modern Go-based architecture. You will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of these systems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the migration of legacy Python microservices to existing Go microservices.

Ensure functional parity and performance consistency through comprehensive testing and monitoring during rollout.

Develop clean, scalable, and maintainable code using Python and collaborate on service design with Go teams.

Apply test-driven development (TDD) practices to ensure the robustness of newly developed features.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow developers to define technical strategies aligned with product goals.

Design and optimize database schemas and data models to support new and existing features.

Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and implement solutions for large-scale systems handling millions of user interactions daily.

Implement instrumentation and observability best practices to monitor and maintain system health post-deployment.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience developing production-grade Python applications.

Proven expertise in test-driven development (TDD) methodologies.

Demonstrated experience in migrating or integrating large-scale systems with high throughput.

Strong understanding of database design, data modeling, and performance optimization.

Ability to write clean and efficient code under tight timelines while maintaining software quality.

Experience in monitoring and instrumentation of backend services for operational performance.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Bonus: Experience or familiarity with LLM (Large Language Model) function-calling protocols and paradigms.

Experience in working with distributed teams and remote collaboration tools.
