Role Overview:

  • This contractor role blends traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge AI techniques, making it ideal for a designer who has mastered physical product design and manufacturing but is also experimenting with AI-driven innovation
  • The ideal candidate has exceptional jewelry design taste, experience in designing fine and semi-fine jewelry, and has already begun experimenting with blending traditional and AI-driven design processes.

This is a part-time contract position. We will need full time work for the first month and then expect to ramp down to :15 hours per week going forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop jewelry and home décor products, integrating both traditional design methods and AI-generated visuals
  • Leverage traditional jewelry and product design expertise to guide AI-generated concepts and ensure they align with manufacturing capabilities
  • Work with merchandising and marketing teams to create visually compelling assets for eCommerce, branding, and storytelling

Who You Are:

  • Proven expertise in jewelry or fashion product design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional taste and an understanding of aesthetics
  • An AI experimenter, incorporating AI tools like DALL·E, Midjourney, or Stable Diffusion to enhance traditional design workflows
  • Proficient in Photoshop
  • Adaptable, trend-savvy, and fashion-forward, with a deep understanding of what resonates with modern consumers of all ages
