Job Highlights

• Hourly Rate: USD 4.73, the equivalent in your local currency
• Paid Hours per Week: 40
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, 1 hour unpaid break | Palmerston North, New Zealand time
• Work Arrangement: Work from home
• Contract: Independent Contractor

Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.

Responsibilities

• Transform creative concepts into print-ready artwork, ensuring every detail meets exacting standards for packaging production
• Collaborate closely with the design team to implement complex packaging specifications, bringing innovative ideas to life
• Optimize artwork files for various printing processes, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in packaging design
• Lead quality control efforts, ensuring color accuracy and consistency across all print-ready files
• Troubleshoot and resolve pre-press issues with creativity and technical expertise, keeping projects on track and clients satisfied
• Stay at the cutting edge of pre-press technologies and industry standards, continuously improving our processes and capabilities

Requirements

• Proven track record in pre-press for the packaging industry, with a portfolio that showcases your technical skills and creative problem-solving abilities
• Mastery of industry-standard graphic design and pre-press software, with a keen eye for detail and color management
• In-depth understanding of print production processes, particularly as they apply to packaging materials and techniques
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both creative and production teams
• Self-motivated and adaptable, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement in the ever-evolving field of packaging design
