About the company

Virtalent is an award-winning Virtual Assistant service in the UK, specialising in PA and digital marketing support. With over 10 years in business, we're on the lookout for a talented person in search of a remote working opportunity that really works!

Join Our Team as a Marketing Manager

We are seeking a results-driven Marketing Manager to lead the execution of Virtalent’s marketing plan. The role of the Marketing Manager is to help reposition and grow our brand as the go-to partner for UK small businesses.

In this hands-on role, you'll be both a strategic thinker and someone who can execute with precision. You’ll own the rollout of our new brand direction, lead the rebuild of our website, and drive campaigns across content, SEO, email, and more - all while building scalable marketing systems that support lead generation and client retention.

You'll also collaborate closely with the leadership team and manage a part-time Marketing Coordinator, giving you space to focus on strategic and high-impact execution.

What you’ll be doing

Brand & Website

  • Lead the implementation of our refreshed brand across all channels
  • Oversee the rebuild and optimisation of our website for lead conversion
  • Coordinate the creation of templates and digital assets

Content & Campaigns

  • Develop and execute a content plan (blogs, case studies, social, email)
  • Align all content with our core brand message and ideal client profile
  • Manage content creators and provide quality control

SEO & Performance

  • Implement and oversee foundational SEO strategies
  • Run content audits and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Track website performance and user behaviour

Email Marketing

  • Create targeted email sequences to nurture leads and retain clients
  • Optimise performance using data insights and campaign results

Reporting & Strategy

  • Establish KPIs and report monthly to leadership
  • Consolidate data across platforms for actionable insights
  • Execute strategic decisions into cross-functional projects and actions

More information will be provided to successful applicants.

Availability

  • This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week (40 hours including a 30 minute paid lunch break).
  • Hours must be worked during typical UK office hours (i.e., Monday to Friday, 9-5). However, there is an element of flexibility to this.
  • Unfortunately, if you are only looking to work during the evening or at weekends, this is not the opportunity for you.

You must:

  • Be based in the UK and have ideally worked remotely or in a flexible role previously.
  • Have a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a relevant role within the marketing industry/profession.
  • You must have a suitable, quiet separate work space e.g. a home office. You’ll need to be able to attend internal and external meetings, remotely, without any background distractions, and with a stable broadband internet connection.

You should apply for this role if:

  • Proven track record of executing successful marketing strategies that align with business goals and drive measurable results.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on brand messaging and content creation.
  • Experience managing digital assets, including websites, social media and email marketing platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven marketing decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead marketing initiatives that drive results
  • Excellent project management abilities, with a proactive, self-motivated approach to work.
  • Familiarity with SEO tools, CRM systems, email marketing platforms and content management systems.
  • Self-aware, growth minded, and ready to take ownership.
  • Desirable, but not essential: Experience scaling a brand, working with freelancers, or supporting business development.
