McClatchy seeks a hands-on, data-savvy Marketing Manager, Revenue Programs to lead and execute high-impact digital campaigns that drive revenue through online consumer sales and strategic revenue programs. This high-ownership, execution-focused role is responsible for building and optimizing marketing strategies across McClatchy Media’s digital properties, paid channels, and more.
You will serve as the day-to-day revenue marketing driver for McClatchy’s unique revenue initiatives, developing campaigns, optimizing conversion funnels, and leveraging automation and performance insights to grow our digital commerce footprint. You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and premier partners to ensure marketing efforts are aligned, effective, and scalable.
**The anticipated base pay range for this position is between $80,000 and $90,000 annually. Individual base pay may vary within that range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, department equity, training, geography, and local wage and hours laws.

Key Responsibilities
Premier Partner & Affiliate Program Coordination and Campaign Execution
- Plan, build, and execute performance-driven marketing campaigns across paid media, email, and content channels to grow sales and revenue.
- Manage and optimize campaigns in platforms like Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, programmatic, CRM (Braze), and other media campaigns to meet revenue and ROI goals.
- Own campaign setup and daily execution—including audience segmentation, targeting, creative asset coordination, tracking, QA, and launch.
- Implement strategies to improve product visibility, increase conversions, and drive consumer purchases through strategic placements and offers.
- Coordinate with affiliate networks, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure offers, tracking, and content are aligned and performing.
- Support onboarding and communication with new affiliate partners, ensuring assets and messaging are aligned with brand standards and campaign goals.
- Track affiliate performance and assist with reporting, payouts, and partnership optimizations.
Marketing Campaign Execution
- Execute paid advertising campaigns across key channels, including display, paid social, paid search, email, on-site tactics, and sponsored content.
- Collaborate with the CRM team to build and manage automated user journeys in Braze to engage leads and customers throughout the buying cycle.
- Test and iterate messaging, creative, offers, and channel mix to continuously improve cost-efficiency and conversion.
- Track and monitor campaign budgets, enter spend data into shared budget tracking tools, and reconcile paid media investments to accurately track the cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Review media plans, manage allocations, and ensure campaign delivery aligns with both budget and strategic objectives.
Analytics & Optimization
- Monitor campaign performance across platforms, identify insights, and adjust tactics to improve KPIs such as CTR, CPA, ROAS, and revenue.
- Collaborate with the Audience and Performance Manager and analytics team to develop campaign dashboards and regular reports.
- Stay current with digital marketing trends, platform updates, and competitive insights to inform strategies and surface new opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field or combined education and 4+ years of digital marketing experience with a clear focus on premier partner and affiliate marketing.
- Hands-on experience running paid campaigns (social, search, display) and working with affiliate networks or platforms.
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools (Braze preferred), analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Amplitude), and performance dashboards.
- Strong organizational, project management, and execution skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven, and collaborative environment.
- Experience in media buying across both in-house and external vendor environments.
- Familiarity with performance marketing metrics and terminology such as CPC, CPM, CTR, ad pacing, planned vs. delivered impressions, and ROAS.
- Ability to confidently assess media plans, manage budgets, and ensure delivery aligns with strategic campaign objectives.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with external media partners and internal teams on execution and optimization strategies.
