Senior Designer – Customer Communications Program

Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Designer to lead the visual redesign of service-based customer communications. You’ll bring clarity and usability to compliance-driven letters, emails, and documents - using design systems, templates, and AI tools to deliver consistent, customer-first outcomes at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Redesign complex, legally required communications to be visually accessible, easy to navigate, and aligned with customer needs.
Apply the established visual identity and design system to ensure all communications are on-brand and visually consistent.
Apply the approved brand playbook and design system across communications assets (e.g. letters, emails, statements).
Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards and regulatory requirements.
Use AI design tools (e.g. for layout exploration, batch adaptation) to streamline delivery and iterate at pace.
Design reusable components and templates grounded in modular frameworks and global design thinking to enable scalable, consistent execution across the program.
Collaborate closely with copywriters, strategists, legal, and developers to ensure cohesion between content, design, and compliance.
Provide creative direction and feedback to junior designers and review final outputs to maintain high-quality standards.
Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in communication design, UI design, or visual design - ideally with experience in regulated industries (e.g. finance, insurance, utilities).
Strong experience in applying brand systems and working within established frameworks.
Familiarity with legal or compliance-driven communication types (e.g. statements, contracts, notifications).
Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Suite, and AI-powered design tools.
Strong understanding of accessibility principles and inclusive design.
Strong understanding of agile delivery frameworks, with a proactive, continuous improvement mindset—able to identify gaps in creative or delivery processes and suggest workflow optimisations that enhance team efficiency and output.
Confident communicator and collaborator across multi-disciplinary teams.
