Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Interior Designer to join our remote team, specialising in high-end residential renovations across Australia. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Design Manager to bring client visions to life - developing innovative design concepts, detailed plans, and 3D models using Revit. With a strong focus on kitchens, bathrooms, and full-home renovations, you'll manage projects from concept through to execution, ensuring exceptional results that reflect each client’s style and needs. This is a full-time, remote position aligned with Australian morning hours, offering a dynamic work environment, career growth, and the chance to be part of a passionate, skilled team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Design Manager to understand the project brief and requirements.
  • Develop functional design concepts for bathroom, kitchen, and larger scale home renovations.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, plans, and 3D models using REVIT software.
  • Select materials, finishes, fixtures, and fittings that align with the design vision and budget.
  • Create mood boards and presentations to communicate design ideas to clients.
  • Prepare job specifications to detail job scope of work and inclusions.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure project delivery deadlines are met.
  • Stay current with industry trends, products, and materials to ensure up-to-date design solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in residential interior design, specifically in bathroom and kitchen renovations.
  • High proficiency in Revit is essential (AutoCAD or SketchUp experience is a plus, but not a substitute).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing residential renovation projects, particularly kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present and explain design ideas clearly to clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • High level of creativity, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team.
  • Familiarity with current design trends, materials, and technologies.

Nice To Haves:

  • Prior experience in interior design or architecture firms
  • Understanding of design trends and materials in the Australian market
  • Ability to collaborate remotely and work within a structured workflow
