Job Description

The Instructional Designer is responsible for the design and development of end-to-end learning solutions for Norstella’s client-facing team in a variety of formats including instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, infographics, simulations, case studies, videos, assessments, games, visual elements and other digital and non-digital learning solutions while employing a rapid design process, working jointly with other members of the learning team and SMEs to identify the course goals and objectives that embrace human-centric design. This role is also responsible for creating program evaluations and assessments based on course objectives to determine effectiveness of training. These are programs that help Norstella client-facing employees, regardless of their role, to be the most effective in their role, collaborate with others, manage/lead others, and achieve their goals.

The Commercial Enablement is responsible for providing a foundation and support system to maximize effectiveness in all client-facing roles and functions via internal training & enablement, including but not limited to on-boarding, job enablement, professional development and improving product and skills knowledge. This role is focused on content management efforts across client-facing teams to improve business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop end to end learning solutions using workplace learning authoring tools, including emerging technologies such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, and other applications to develop learning solutions that provide unique learning experiences.
  • Consult and make recommendations on instructional methods appropriate for content and learner characteristics.
  • Collaborate with learning team, subject matter experts, facilitation team, and functional leaders to create learning experiences that demonstrate sound adult learning strategies, produce learning outcomes, and develop targeted skills among learners.
  • Design in an agile, iterative fashion, with a mix of collaborative team ideation and focused, self-directed design time.
  • Embrace opportunities to incorporate video, audio, media streaming, and blending media for engagement through embedded storytelling.
  • Evaluate learning programs for effectiveness and continuously improve solutions.
  • Apply strong project management discipline for setting expectations, execution, and resolving issues.
  • Upload and test digital learning solutions accessibility within the Commercial Enablement / knowledge management site.
  • Foster an inclusive environment of continuous learning and development

Requirments

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred (e.g., Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Learning, Educational Design, ISD, or related field).
  • 5+ years of instructional design for Instructor led and Web based training, virtual classroom, and simulations
  • Experience working with workplace learning authoring tools, including emerging technologies. Specific experience with Docebo LMS, Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other authoring programs to develop rich WBTs and simulations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in L&D, with a high degree of competency with adult learning principles and learning models; experience in curriculum development, instructional design, planning, facilitation, and implementing efficient learning solutions; proven success developing learning strategy and aligning leadership support.
  • Experience working with graphic design using Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and graphic design theories. Able to create custom graphics, color themes, style guides, infographics, and templates that enhance learner engagement and knowledge application.
  • Ability to weave learning content into purpose driven stories that will resonate with learners.
  • Business Acumen: understands the strategic business needs of the company and the impact of learning on meeting the development needs of employees to best serve our customers; leverages external marketplace research and business insights to drive outcomes.
  • Tech or Pharma industry knowledge and experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience working with multimedia production in the design, capture and production of video and audio.
