Description
We are looking for a skilled Graphic Designer to join our team on a contract basis, supporting impactful projects within the non-profit sector. This role is based in Arlington, Virginia, and requires expertise in creating visual assets that align with organizational branding and communication goals. You will play a key role in designing materials for events, outreach, and promotional activities.
Responsibilities
- Design various materials such as flyers, agendas, and workbook covers to support outreach and event promotion.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all designs align with organizational branding guidelines and messaging.
- Create high-quality graphics for both print and digital formats, including e-brochures, banner ads, and web visuals.
- Work with Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and Flash, to develop precise artwork and layouts.
- Develop creative concepts for advertisements and promotional materials to enhance brand awareness.
- Translate content into visually appealing designs, ensuring accuracy and consistency in both English and French versions when needed.
- Monitor deadlines and deliver all design assets on time for mission-critical projects.
- Ensure all materials meet client specifications and are optimized for their intended use.
- Maintain organized files and documentation for projects, including reference examples and design specifications.
- Provide support for future design needs, such as booklet creation and other event-related materials.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably in the non-profit or mission-driven sector.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and Flash.
- Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in creating flyers, agendas, advertisements, and event-related materials.
- Ability to design for both print and digital formats while maintaining high visual standards.
- Experience developing bilingual materials (English and French) is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of branding principles and the ability to adhere to style guidelines.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design execution.
