About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer to join our innovative team remotely or in Alexandria, VA. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive full-stack development mindset, with expertise in AI model integration, cloud development, and web application deployment across GCP and Azure platforms. This role involves designing and implementing end-to-end solutions tailored for both client needs and internal operations, supporting our mission to stay ahead of emerging threats. You will collaborate closely with a small, agile team of developers, data scientists, and engineers to build scalable, secure, and efficient AI-powered applications. Your work will directly contribute to the development of systems that support national security initiatives, providing a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the world of advanced technology and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, AI, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Minimum of 5 years of professional engineering experience in full-stack development
• Proficiency with cloud platforms: GCP and Azure
• Experience with GCP services such as Cloud Run, GKE, BigQuery, Firestore, IAM, Pub/Sub
• Experience with Azure services including AKS, App Service, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB
• Hands-on experience with MLOps tools like Vertex AI, TensorFlow Serving, MLFlow, or Azure ML Model Deployment
• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Terraform
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) and serverless architectures
• Understanding of AI governance, explainability, and responsible AI practices
• U.S. citizenship and residence within the contiguous United States
• Eligibility to obtain security clearance

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate AI-driven applications, including building full-stack solutions that incorporate AI models into web apps, APIs, and cloud services
• Design and implement scalable backend services using technologies such as Python (Flask, FastAPI), Node.js (Express), or Java (Spring Boot), with database management via BigQuery, Firestore, PostgreSQL, or Cosmos DB
• Create intuitive and accessible front-end interfaces utilizing React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Develop APIs and microservices that expose AI capabilities for multiple business units and client applications
• Ensure all AI solutions adhere to data privacy, security, and governance standards across GCP and Azure environments
• Adapt applications to operate seamlessly in hybrid cloud environments, ensuring consistent performance across platforms
• Collaborate in an agile setting with data scientists, cloud engineers, and business stakeholders to prototype, test, and deploy AI solutions efficiently
• Implement best practices for software engineering, including code reviews, source control, testing, and operational deployment
• Optimize application performance and scalability, ensuring reliable and efficient AI-powered solutions
