Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer for a contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our leading clients. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in front-end and back-end development, experienced with database technologies, and knowledgeable in DevOps best practices.

This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must be based in the New York City Metropolitan area to accommodate occasional onsite collaboration if needed.

As a Full Stack Developer, you’ll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable web applications and services. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life and deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain responsive and user-friendly front-end applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Design and implement scalable back-end services using Python, Java, Ruby, or Node.js, with frameworks like Django, Express.js, or Rails.
  • Build and consume RESTful and SOAP APIs, and contribute to microservices architecture.
  • Work with both SQL (e.g., Oracle PL/SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to support CI/CD pipelines, version control via Git, and containerization using Docker.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and performance optimization efforts.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical thinking in a collaborative team environment.
  • Take ownership of deliverables and proactively communicate status and blockers.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with hands-on expertise across front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Proficiency in one or more server-side languages: Python, Java, Ruby, or Node.js.
  • Experience with server-side frameworks such as Django, Express.js, or Rails.
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs and microservices.
  • Strong database skills with SQL (Oracle PL/SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Mongo DB).
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Docker).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and capable of working independently in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of automated testing tools and practices.
