Infosys Public Services is seeking a Frontend Engineer- React/Next.js to join our Team.
Position Description (scope Of Work Or Brief Narrative)
The Front-end Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting high-performance mission-critical applications to meet the company’s strategic objectives. The candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the technologies involved and Agile SDLC models
- Maintain and contribute to the product platform as necessary.
- Maintain and support products that are released to stakeholders and customers.
- Facilitate discussions among other developers to exchange new ideas and improvements.
- Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices that can be used to strengthen technology platforms and development practices.
A Day in the Life of an Infoscion
- As part of the Infosys delivery team, your primary role would be to interface with the client for quality assurance, issue resolution, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- You will understand requirements, create and review designs, validate the architecture and ensure high levels of service offerings to clients in the technology domain.
- You will participate in project estimation, provide inputs for solution delivery, conduct technical risk planning, and perform code reviews and unit test plan reviews.
- You will lead and guide your teams towards developing optimized high quality code deliverables, continual knowledge management and adherence to the organizational guidelines and processes.
Required years of experience, training, technical skills, and other requirements for job performance:
- Minimum 4 years of experience building scalable, reliable front-end systems. Building fast, responsive web apps using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- 4+ Years of software development experience
- Strong focus on clean UI, accessibility, and scalable component architecture with Material UI.
- 4+ years of experience in React
- 4+ years of experience in Next.js
- 4+ years of experience in TypeScript
- 4+ years of experience in Material UI
- 4+ years of experience in GitHub (version control & CI/CD)
- 4+ years of experience in Component-driven development
- 4+ years of experience in Responsive design & accessibility (a11y)
- 4+ years of experience in Web performance optimization
- 4+ years of experience in RESTful API integration
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in the public sector
Educational Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Will consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience instead of every year of education. Candidates who have completed a Master's degree program are strongly preferred.
The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
