We are looking for a versatile Full-Stack Developer to join our dynamic team and drive innovation across our entire technology stack. This role offers the opportunity to work on both frontend user experiences and backend systems, building scalable solutions that power our applications from the ground up. You'll be instrumental in designing robust APIs and integrating diverse data sources while contributing to our collaborative, fast-paced environment. Essential Functions
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code across the full technology stack
- Develop responsive user-facing interfaces and implement backend services to support application functionality
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs, connecting frontend applications with backend systems and external data sources
- Integrate data from external sources via API consumption and web scraping techniques
- Identify performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and bugs across frontend and backend systems
- Mentor team members and contribute to technical knowledge sharing
Technical Proficiencies
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and at least one modern frontend framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js)
- Strong backend development skills in Ruby (Rails preferred), Python, PHP, or Golang
- Experience with RESTful API design, development, and integration with both third-party services and custom systems
- Proficient with SQL databases, including complex queries, database design, performance optimization, and schema management
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Amazon AWS (RDS, S3, EC2)
- Proficiency with Git/GitHub for source control and collaborative development workflows
- Experience with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and modern UX/UI principles
- Knowledge of build tools, package managers, and deployment pipelines (Webpack, npm, Yarn, CI/CD)
- Understanding of scalable application architecture, microservices, and distributed systems
- Experience writing comprehensive automated tests for both frontend (unit, integration) and backend (API, database) components
- Knowledge of CDNs, caching strategies, and performance optimization techniques
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and collaborative project management
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in full-stack development, preferably in a SaaS or startup environment.
