About The Role
As a Tech & Design Manager, you will be responsible for leading the design team and driving various creative and analytical initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design, the ability to analyze competitor landscapes, and the technical acumen to make data-driven decisions. This person shall ensure brand consistency, manage project workflows, keep the team updated on the latest design and marketing trends, and interpret the results of A/B tests to optimize our brands’ performance. In addition to overseeing A/B testing. Further, this person will play a critical role in managing design production for various assets, including listing images, A+ Content, videos, 360 images, packaging, inserts, storefront visuals, PPC videos, and images. He/she will also be responsible for implementing strategies to ensure that the team stays ahead of competitors and continuously improves design and marketing performance. This role requires a balance of creativity, technical expertise, and analytical skills to enhance our product listings, brand positioning, and overall customer experience.
Responsibilities
Design & Branding
- Lead and manage a team of designers to ensure high-quality creative outputs.
- Oversee the development of visual assets for Amazon listings, including A+ Content, storefront images, listing images, PPC creatives.
- Direct the creation of product packaging, inserts, videos, 360 images, and 3D animations.
- Conduct competitor research to understand design trends and develop strategies to stay ahead in the market.
- Prepare comprehensive design briefs, set clear goals, and define KPIs for creative projects.
- Ensure consistency in design elements across all brands under our portfolio.
- Continuously explore new creative techniques, tools, and technologies to enhance content quality.
- Collaborate with product development, supply chain, and PPC teams to optimize product visuals for higher conversions.
- Stay on top of evolving consumer trends and Amazon marketplace updates to adjust creative strategies accordingly
A/B Testing & Data Analytics
- Incorporate A/B testing as part of the broader design and optimization strategy to enhance performance.
- Develop and implement A/B testing strategies to optimize conversion rates and sales performance.
- Analyze the results of A/B tests to determine actionable insights and recommendations.
- Use data analytics tools to assess the performance of different design and marketing strategies.
- Continuously refine testing hypotheses and suggest new test ideas based on previous results.
- Work closely with marketing and product teams to implement changes based on A/B test outcomes.
- Establish benchmarks and track performance metrics for creative content.
Process Optimization & Efficiency
- Establish and refine workflows for the design team to improve speed, consistency, and output quality.
- Identify opportunities to automate or enhance design production to scale creative output efficiently.
- Implement strategies to improve design efficiency and enhance creative output.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the product development, PPC, and supply chain teams to ensure design efforts align with broader business goals.
- Ensure smooth communication between designers and other departments to optimize workflow efficiency.
Innovation & Experimentation
- Research and experiment with new creative approaches to improve brand presence and conversion rates.
- Encourage a culture of testing new design concepts to continuously optimize performance.
- Stay up to date with Amazon’s algorithms, design best practices, and consumer behavior trends.
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage design resources effectively, ensuring the team has the right tools and training.
- Oversee budgets for design projects and ensure cost-effective execution.
Technical & Strategic Leadership
- Develop and enforce SOPs for design and testing processes to streamline workflows.
- Continuously monitor competitor strategies and emerging market trends to keep the team ahead.
- Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and guidance to the design team.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the design team.

- Design & Editing Tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, Canva
- AI-Powered Design & Optimization Tools: Midjourney, DALL·E, Adobe Firefly
- Amazon & E-commerce Analytics Tools: Helium 10, Jungle Scout, DataDive, Amazon Brand Analytics
- A/B Testing & Conversion Optimization Tools: Google Optimize, Hotjar, Optimizely
- Project Management & Collaboration Tools: Asana & Slack
- Video & Motion Graphics Tools (if applicable): Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro
Competencies And Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven experience in design management, branding, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce design trends, specifically for Amazon product listings and advertising.
- Proficiency in A/B testing methodologies and tools such as Amazon Experiments, Intellivy, or other CRO platforms.
- Ability to interpret data and turn insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of Amazon’s marketplace, listing optimization, and e-commerce best practices.
- Experience in managing design projects within an e-commerce environment.
- Familiarity with AI-driven design tools and automation.
- Background in conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced startup or aggregator company.
- Experience in implementing workflow automation to improve creative efficiency
