INTERMEDIATE GRAPHIC DESIGNER – REMOTE

Brainstorm ideas and develop new ways to create innovative and expressive graphics for Western.

We are a cool and knowledgeable Marketing and Branding team, leading the brand design and execution of national and community marketing plans. This role will maintain our brand image across social channel landscapes and support our digital team.

Here Is What a Typical Day Looks Like

  • Create designs and front-end requirements including: campaign landing pages, customer service portal, e-commerce, national advertising campaign assets, and other internal systems
  • Design web banners, apps, social media campaigns, digital advertisements, interactive designs and e-mail blasts/newsletters
  • Transform high-level project requirements into tangible user experiences, utilizing the latest standards in graphic design, usability and front-end development
  • Incorporate brand-approved elements (photography, illustrations, graphic elements, typography and copy) together into well-designed messages
  • Research and propose new standards and understand the evolution of the digital end to stay in front of competitors

The value you bring

  • 5+ years graphic design experience, preferably involving delivering company brand materials through multiple digital and print mediums
  • High creativity in generating engaging materials within the scope of brand style guide
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere
  • Post-secondary degree in Graphic Design an asset
  • Knowledge of UX Design and Motion Graphics/Animation an asset
  • Experience with coding – HTML or WordPress is an asset
  • Experience with Figma is an asset

Hours: Full time Permanent – 37.5 hours/week

Location: Remote in Canada

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000
