How you'll have an impact at Paula's Choice:

As a strategic, creative, and customer-centric Global Product Marketer, this role will be critical in the development and execution of global product marketing vision into action across our portfolio. This role is responsible for driving global brand and product growth, and innovation planning in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Having a deep understanding of the macro skincare customer, customer need state, customer trends and product opportunities comes together with the same in-depth level of understanding of how it fits in with Paula's Choice to create products that are differentiated and superior.

As a central player in the organization, this role requires the ability to think strategically, build strong relationships and collaborate effectively. As the product pipeline is fast-moving and fast-changing, clear communication and strong organization are essential to ensure that key stakeholders (across all global regions and channels) are up to date with the latest information. The Global Marketing team has a dedication and commitment to flawless execution of every launch.

Cross-functional teams look to the Global Product Marketing team for strategic product guidance and product details for all launches and how it fits into the portfolio. You'll play a key leadership role in shaping the future of our product pipeline and positioning in the global market.

As a Director of Global Product Marketing, a typical day might include a mix of the following:

  • Lead Product Marketing briefs to support our key categories, franchises, and hero products with clear objectives & strategies for all new launches.
  • Build strong Market Meeting, leadership presentations that tell the product marketing story to get leadership, channel, and retailer support.
  • Partner with Copy to create compelling product concepts that are unique, breakthrough and bring the product innovation to life in a way that resonates with the customer.
  • Lead competitive analysis to recommend pricing, fill weight, packaging direction.
  • Partner with PD, R&D, Retail Marketing, all sales channels (DTC, Amazon, Retail), global partners, Education, Events, Social, Influencer teams.
  • Partner with Creative, Copy, Visual Merchandising teams to ensure product messaging is compelling, and consistent across all touchpoints.
  • Work with Retail Marketing, Education and Events to ideate on retailer events with best-in-class experience from the customer.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager.

The Details:

  • Location: We are based in Seattle, WA. While we have a strong preference for local candidates, we are currently considering remote applicants based on the West Coast only to align with our team's working hours and collaboration needs.
  • Hours: Typically, PDT business hours but with flexibility to global time zones as needed.
  • Physical requirements: Ability to both sit for long periods of time & handle long periods of screen time
  • Travel requirements: 10-20%

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in global product marketing in the beauty industry, with at least 3 years leading high-performing teams
  • Must have experience in the beauty, skincare, or personal care industry
  • Must have deep knowledge of the beauty space from consumer to the retail and DTC landscape
  • Manage and organize complexity across a wide range of cross-functional and leadership stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and align cross-functional partners
  • Strong financial acumen with cost/margin analyses
  • Strong analytical, data-driven skills pertaining to retail pricing, sales performance, portfolio analysis, category sales performance & trends, sku sales performance & trends
  • Demonstrated success in new product launches
  • General management mindset with the ability to identify commercial opportunities within the portfolio
  • Excellent decision-making skills and decisiveness with integrity
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and persuade others in the organization while supporting our brand values of innovation, efficacy, truth, transparency and community.

Approximate Salary Range Based on Experience and Location:

**$180,000 - $195,000 USD/annually

Paula's Choice Skincare determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan.
