About The Role

The Digital Marketing Assistant (DMA) will support the Marketing and Sales team, reporting to the Marketing Manager (paid reach). This full-time role involves implementing advertising plans for approximately 250 books annually, managing media schedules, and creating Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns. The DMA will also coordinate with the Assistant Marketing Manager (organic reach) on social media content and serve as the Project Manager for Seasonal Launches. The position may be remote, hybrid, or on-site in Princeton, NJ, depending on candidate preference.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in publishing or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky, and LinkedIn
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Interest in books, academia, and the publishing industry
  • Familiarity with advertising tools and data management platforms such as Salesforce is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor advertising strategies across print and digital channels
  • Manage the scheduling and placement of ads and work with external sales contacts
  • Edit and proof ad content for accuracy
  • Create and oversee targeted social media ad campaigns
  • Post updates related to media hits, events, translations, and awards
  • Coordinate internal documentation and planning for Seasonal Launches
  • Maintain up-to-date advertising databases and support invoice tracking
