Location: Remote (WFH) with location restrictions within the United States. For tax and compliance purposes, this role is open only to candidates that will work or reside in the following states: AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, TX, VA, WA, WI, WY.

Paleovalley is a modern health-conscious snack and supplement company. We are committed to making delicious, high-quality products that do not cut corners. We source from certified organic farmers using regenerative agricultural practices. Our goal is to support our customers with better alternatives to the health-damaging junk foods and synthetic supplements lining the grocery store shelves.

 

Wild Pastures, our sister company, is on a mission to transform the meat industry. We deliver 100% grass fed, pasture-raised, environmentally-regenerative beef, chicken and pork and sustainably caught, wild seafood directly to our customers’ doors. We have incredibly high standards for our meat – all being raised in the USA by small-scale family farmers on lush pastures free from human-caused chemicals.

The Opportunity

As Creative Director, you’ll take full ownership of our brand’s visual identity, messaging, and creative direction across all customer touchpoints—from paid ads to packaging, email to web. You’ll oversee and mentor our high-performing in-house creative team and help shape the future of how our brands show up in the world.

 

We're looking for someone who thrives in high-growth environments and blends brand-building excellence with a deep understanding of what drives clicks, conversions, and customer retention.

You will partner closely with paid media, email, product, retail and partnerships teams—translating performance data into breakthrough campaigns, and ensuring every touchpoint not only looks beautiful but drives results.

Essential Functions

  1. Define and evolve the creative vision for both Paleovalley and Wild Pastures, ensuring consistency, clarity, and impact across all channels
  2. Lead and mentor a high-performing creative team across design, video, and content
  3. Oversee creative output for all paid performance channels (Meta, YouTube, TikTok, Google), landing pages, email, organic social, packaging, website, retail and Amazon
  4. Drive collaboration across teams to align brand storytelling with business goals
  5. Develop and enforce creative processes, timelines, and quality standards
  6. Translate marketing performance data into actionable creative strategies that improve conversion, CTR, AOV, and retention
  7. Lead new product launches and integrated campaigns from concept through execution
  8. Maintain a pulse on emerging trends, best practices, and creative platforms
  9. Ensure every customer touchpoint is optimized for both storytelling and sales
  10. Set and maintain high standards for design, copy, and creative execution

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position is responsible for supervising a small team of creative professionals.

 

Competencies

  1. Proven ability to lead and scale a multi-disciplinary in-house creative team
  2. Deep understanding of paid media creative (Meta, YouTube, TikTok) and e-commerce conversion optimization
  3. Hands-on experience working closely with CRO teams, media buyers, and performance marketers
  4. Exceptional visual, verbal, and conceptual communication skills
  5. Strong project management and organizational skills—you thrive in complexity and fast deadlines
  6. Ability to think both big picture and in fine detail; you set a high bar for creative output
  7. A passion for health, sustainability, and storytelling that makes people feel
  8. Expertise in the following: Adobe Creative Cloud Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

 

Required Education and Experience

  1. 10+ years of relevant creative experience, including senior-level leadership in a high-performing, fast-paced CPG or DTC brand environment
  2. Must have experience working for a CPG brand
  3. Experience in health & wellness, food, or supplements is highly preferred
  4. Strong portfolio demonstrating success in both brand storytelling and performance marketing creative

 

Preferred Education & Experience

  1. Experience in DTC health or wellness-focused CPG
  2. Background in conversion rate optimization or A/B testing frameworks
  3. Experience in food, supplement, or regenerative agriculture brands

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies that weigh up to 20 pounds, and to bend and stand as necessary.  

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position during regular business hours (for example, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the employee’s time zone). Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This position does not require travel.
