About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Engineer to join our engineering team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for building the foundations of Atomicwork’s platform and contributing to the development of complex and distributed software systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions that power our modern service management platform.

This opportunity is ideal for a self-motivated engineer who is passionate about solving challenging technical problems and wants to make a significant impact on our product and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain complex web applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and usability.

Build enterprise-grade systems and contribute to high-quality application development with sound coding, testing, and deployment practices.

Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to build and launch new features that enhance the platform.

Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback to peers for continuous improvement.

Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and trends and contribute ideas to improve platform architecture and performance.

Work autonomously and take ownership of your work, acting as a technical founder of the product.

Solve technical problems creatively, using modern backend tools and practices.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience working with complex, distributed backend systems.

Strong programming experience with one or more of the following: Java, Go, or Python.

Understanding of front-end development using React is a plus.

Strong fundamentals in databases, including query optimization, indexing, and caching. Experience with MySQL is preferred.

Proficiency in building and consuming APIs; experience working with scalable platform systems.

Hands-on experience managing applications on AWS or other public cloud infrastructures.

Ability to write clear documentation and effectively present technical work to peers.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate and debug large codebases.
