Full Stack Developer (Entry Level) (Remote)

Job_Summary:

Foundation Finance Company is one of the fastest-growing consumer finance companies in the U.S., focused on helping home improvement contractors close more sales through flexible financing plans. The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for designing and developing web architectures, collaborating with teams, and ensuring the security and performance of web applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop front-end web architectures driven by middleware to retrieve information from back-end sources.
• Develop software in our technology stack, which is constantly evolving but currently includes JavaScript, GraphQL, Jest, Kafka, MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js), NestJS, Redis, SQL, and TypeScript.
• Complete test-driven development and write unit tests.
• Maintain working knowledge of RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Maintain knowledge of security best practices in web development to safeguard customer and company data.
• Design performance optimized and scalable web applications.
• Utilize agile methodologies and scrum planning tools like Jira to help the development team meet its sprint goal.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

-Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field.
• 2 years of relevant experience in front end, middleware, or backend development, OR combination of education and experience.

-Preferred:

• Any technical certifications from Amazon, Atlassian, Google, Microsoft, or in an essential duty mentioned above are a plus.
