About The Role
We're looking for a strategic, creative, and operationally excellent Director of Content Marketing to lead Fundraise Up’s content team across brand, demand, and customer experience. This role is responsible for crafting and executing a modern content strategy that drives thought leadership, supports pipeline growth, and brings the Fundraise Up narrative to life across channels. You will oversee a growing team of content specialists and work cross-functionally with product marketing, demand generation, field marketing, partnerships, and sales to deliver integrated, high-performing content. This role reports directly to the Head of Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Fundraise Up’s content strategy and editorial calendar across web, video, email, social, podcast, and PR.
- Lead and coach a team of 4 direct reports: Website & SEO Lead; Multimedia Producer (video, podcast, YouTube); Email & Lifecycle Content Manager; Social & Content Distribution Manager.
- Manage Fundraise Up’s PR agency and coordinate media outreach, announcements, and press cycles.
- Partner with Product Marketing to create narratives, long-form content, and customer stories that support our strategic positioning.
- Collaborate with Demand Gen to turn anchor content into lead-gen campaigns and fuel ABM initiatives.
- Develop and own the content strategy for the Fundraise Up Institute (our educational arm).
- Architect and maintain our voice, tone, and content style guide across assets and platforms.
- Establish and track content performance metrics — web traffic, video views, engagement rates, SEO lift, content-driven pipeline, etc.
- Serve as an internal storyteller and strategic voice for the Fundraise Up brand.
Skills And Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of experience in content marketing, with at least 3 years managing people.
- Proven experience leading content teams at a B2B SaaS company, preferably in FinTech, MarTech, or vertical SaaS.
- Deep experience creating content strategies that span demand generation, thought leadership, SEO, and brand.
- Strong creative instincts and an editor’s eye — you know how to turn insight into influence.
- Experience producing or overseeing video content, podcast series, and/or multimedia storytelling.
- Excellent written communication and project management skills.
- A strong understanding of nonprofit audiences is a plus, but not required.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment with shifting priorities.
Benefits
- 15 days of vacation, 7 company holidays plus an additional 3 floating holidays and 5 sick days.
- 401(k) plan with company match.
- FSA Spending Account.
- 100% Company-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, basic life insurance and AD&D.
- Health, Dental, and Vision insurance covered at 100% for employees, 80% for employee plus dependents, and 70% for employees plus family.
- Paid parental leave (12/6 weeks).
- Remote working.
