Software Engineer I, Entry Level (Remote)

Job_Summary:

One Inc is a rapidly growing digital payments platform that provides insurers with a seamless customer experience. As a Software Engineer Level I, you will support the development of AI-powered applications, work closely with senior engineers, and contribute to the full-stack development of software components.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and maintenance of software components, including backend and frontend features
• Collaborate with senior engineers to implement AI-based agents and integrate LLM APIs
• Participate in the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment
• Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in development and staging environments
• Learn and apply best practices in software engineering, version control, and containerized environments
• Research and experiment with new tools and technologies under guidance

Qualifications:

-Required:

• Basic understanding of programming principles and object-oriented design
• Familiarity with Python (required)
• Strong problem-solving and learning mindset
• Ability to work independently with guidance and collaborate effectively in a remote team
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or currently pursuing one
• 1+ years of professional software development experience

-Preferred:

• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript or web development
• Exposure to or interest in AI technologies, especially LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude) or agentic systems
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic frontend concepts
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
• Any academic, personal, or internship experience with AI/ML or LLMs
