Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Web Developer / Backend Engineer to provide ongoing support and project-based development across our digital ecosystem. This includes building new websites, updating existing websites, and handling server-side tasks and remediation. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Kentico CMS is essential.
Background
Our organization operates multiple web properties and digital tools hosted primarily in Microsoft Azure and built using Kentico CMS. As we scale and evolve our digital presence, we require an experienced developer to partner with our internal team to ensure our infrastructure is secure, scalable, and up-to-date, and that our websites deliver high-performing user experiences.
Scope of Work
The selected partner will support us in the following areas:
Website Development
Build new websites or microsites within Kentico and Azure environments
Implement front-end designs and connect with backend services as needed
Ensure cross-browser and mobile compatibility
Website Maintenance & Updates
Regular content and functionality updates
Performance optimization
Security updates and patching
Server-Side & Backend Development
Azure configuration and monitoring
API integrations and middleware logic
Authentication and user management
Remediation & Technical Support
Diagnose and resolve site bugs or downtime issues
Troubleshoot backend issues or CMS-related problems
Provide recommendations for ongoing improvements
Technical Requirements
The ideal candidate or firm will have deep experience with:
Platforms & Tools
Microsoft Azure (App Services, Blob Storage, Functions, etc.)
Kentico CMS (Experience with both Portal Engine and MVC preferred)
- NET / C# development
SQL Server
CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git)
Nice to Have
Experience in headless CMS or transitioning from monolithic to composable architectures
Knowledge of web analytics integration and SEO best practices
