UX/UI Designer – Mid to Senior Level

Location: Remote (Cape Town-based, with 1 day/month in-office for team connection)

Type: Full-time, Permanent

About The Role

We’re looking for a talented and driven UX/UI Designer to join a collaborative digital product team working across industries like FinTech, EduTech, PropTech, and Crypto. You’ll be involved in the full design lifecycle, from defining user flows to delivering polished, production-ready interfaces.

This is a remote-first opportunity with a monthly in-person team day to maintain strong relationships, creativity, and culture. You’ll thrive here if you’re self-managed, eager to learn, and love crafting intuitive digital experiences that solve real problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design user journeys, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed UI mockups.
  • Collaborate directly with clients, developers, UX researchers, and project managers.
  • Turn complex problems into clean, elegant design solutions.
  • Ensure consistency with brand and visual standards across platforms.
  • Apply user feedback, analytics, and testing results to continuously improve UX.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years experience in UX/UI design with a focus on digital product work.
  • A standout portfolio showcasing your process, problem-solving, and outcomes.
  • Mastery of Figma (or similar tools) and strong visual design sensibilities.
  • A user-first mindset with a sharp eye for detail and usability.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to manage time independently.
  • Comfortable working across multiple projects and engaging with diverse teams.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience in product environments within emerging tech sectors (e.g., FinTech, Crypto).
  • Passion for continuous learning, mentorship, and pushing design boundaries.
  • Familiarity with basic development concepts for smoother handoffs.

Why this role

  • Flexible remote work with monthly in-person days to foster creativity and team spirit.
  • Exposure to exciting, high-impact projects with local and global clients.
  • Supportive, curious, and passionate teammates who care about what they build.
  • A strong culture of learning, autonomy, and personal growth.
