About The Role

We are expanding our product team and seeking a skilled UI/UX Designer to shape the user experience of our platform. This role involves collaborating closely with product managers and engineers to design intuitive, user-friendly solutions that help manufacturers streamline their workflows. You will lead the design process from research and wireframing to prototyping and final visual design, advocating for simplicity and usability at every step.

This is a remote-friendly role with options to work from our Chicago or San Francisco offices. We value flexibility while recognizing the benefits of in-person collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end UI/UX design process, including research, wireframing, prototyping, and final design
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define and refine product experiences
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to inform design decisions
• Translate complex industrial workflows into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces
• Ensure consistency across UI components and platform interactions
• Advocate for users while balancing business needs and technical constraints
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices to drive continuous design innovation

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, preferably in SaaS or B2B products
• Strong portfolio demonstrating interaction design, user research, and visual design skills
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or equivalents
• Ability to create wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups
• Deep understanding of usability principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and justify design choices
• Proven experience collaborating closely with engineers and product teams
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on simplifying complex workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing for industrial, IoT, or data-intensive applications
• Familiarity with Locations and Affordances design concepts
• Basic knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to facilitate design-engineering collaboration
