What You’ll Do

As a UI Intern at OfficeSpace, you’ll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge web applications that shape the modern workplace. Collaborating closely with our talented design and development teams, you’ll gain hands-on experience building user-friendly and responsive interfaces. During your internship, you will:

  • Develop and maintain front-end components using React, JavaScript, and CSS to create visually appealing and functional user experiences.
  • Collaborate with designers to transform mockups and wireframes into polished, production-ready features.
  • Assist in debugging and resolving UI/UX issues to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Implement accessibility best practices to ensure the application is usable for a diverse range of users, including those with disabilities.
  • Gain exposure to modern development tools and workflows, including version control (Git), package managers, and build tools.
  • Participate in code reviews, brainstorming sessions, and team meetings to contribute ideas and learn from experienced developers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in front-end development.

The Skills, Experience, And Mindset Required

We’re looking for motivated students or recent graduates with a passion for front-end development and design. Here’s what we’re seeking:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a certification in Web Development, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React, JavaScript (ES6+), and CSS3.
  • Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and a commitment to creating inclusive designs.
  • Eagerness to learn and work with modern front-end tools and libraries (e.g., Redux)).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in design implementation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL is a plus, but not required.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and ask questions when needed.

This internship is remote-friendly, with opportunities for hybrid work if you’re located near one of our offices in Escazu (Costa Rica).
